Professional Development
At Shared Waters, we offer comprehensive on-site professional development (PD) for educators. Our full-day PD sessions provide teachers hands-on experience with all 10 lessons of our curriculum, including outdoor fieldwork that can be conducted on the school yard or at a local stream. Teachers will receive instruction on data analysis and guidance on how to lead students through the design and enactment of an action project to tackle a local environmental issue.
Led by university faculty with over 10 years of K-12 classroom experience, our PD sessions ensure that educators are well-prepared to implement the Shared Waters curriculum effectively. We provide all PD materials and resources, ensuring a seamless and engaging day of learning. Teachers will leave the PD session equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to inspire and guide their students in making a positive impact in their communities.
